L’Oréal Colorista Part 2

So as many of you have been asking me about this hair dyes longevity. I thought what better way to update you all with a part 2 to my previous post.

original loreal colorista review

So the top photo was the outcome of using L’Oréal’s Colorista in the shade indigo. The outcome of the colour was stunning, a beautiful deep shade of indigo with a purple undertone, which has probably been my favourite colour blue I have ever dyed it.

The three photos underneath the main one shows you how the colour kept wash by wash. As you can see, it pretty much came out in a single wash. Which to be honest was quite disappointing, due to the box saying it lasts 5-10 shampoos.

The box also said that the bottle would be enough for two applications, and I used a box and a half. My hair isn’t really that long or thick so I found that to be quite confusing. However I can’t stress enough how much I loved the colour on first application. I would love it to be permanently that colour unfortunately until the hair dye gods make a permanent one I will have to spend a pretty penny every month topping the colour up.

I do have to note that I always have blue hair, so I am unsure of how long this will last if it went onto freshly bleached hair. The colour mine faded out to was the same sky blue colour from crazy colour I had before. I do want to try it when I rebleach my roots, so I can update you once that happens.

Overall I still love this product and it would be great for people if your not allowed mad coloured hair. To colour it just for a holiday or half term etc as it clearly washes out.

Has anyone else used this yet? What are your thoughts?

Lots of love

Jordan xx

  1. Omg! I LOVE everything about this 🙂 I dye my hair black, but I have always wanted to dye it a fun bright colour but I’m so scared of damaging it by bleaching. My hair already is thick and can be a bit unruly at times 😛
