Reading comics and doing makeup testing :)

For those of you that don’t know, I also own a comic shop and I am a pretty huge collector of comics. So today I treated my self to Scottie Youngs latest book ‘I hate fairyland’. Scottie Young is currently one of my favourite comic artists as his style is so cute and the colours he uses looks like they are taken from my dreams. But the best part is even though they look so cutesy they have a really dark tone too. So I bought the standard cover but couldn’t help myself and had to get the variant as well, because, well…. It’s just frigging awesome! Look at it!!!!!

So before reading this I had no idea where this was going to go (story wise) and I must say its funny, witty and I really want to dress up like this front cover for Halloween!!

Here are some snippets of the beautiful illustrations inside:

So today, I had to really decide on what I am going to wear to my friends Halloween party and to be honest I didn’t want to spend much money because I love buying shoes too much! So I basically had a weird idea of going as a pun. Stay with me! I’m not going crazy, I promise!!

So my crazy idea is basically dressing up like a 1950s pin up girl, but with dead makeup. Hence the term – Drop Dead Gorgeous / Dead Sexy!

if you don’t get it I’m sorry, sometimes I’m a little bit crazy!

But I basically thought it’s pretty good as a Halloween costume if your on a bit of a budget. So I have only done some testing for the makeup, and I’m not sure whether to do skull makeup or a bullet wound. So I really need your opinions!!!image

So this look is more of a pretty skeleton as I haven’t done the black circles around the eyes, which I really like but I’m not sure whether I want full face paint for the party or normal makeup with a bullet wound on my forehead. here are some more face painting testers :

i have run out of SFX wax, so I haven’t done my bullet wound test yet, but I am hoping to get some tomorrow and maybe do a tutorial for you guys. So tell me what you think so far and throw any ideas my way as I’m open to suggestions!!!

Much love,

Kiss kiss winks
